Building blocks
Building blocks
The small jobs you can do one at a time, and which guide covers each.
This page lists the building blocks of the done. API: small jobs you can use alone, in any order, from your own tools.
Each block is a few calls. You do not need a campaign, a sending account or a LinkedIn connection to use them. They fit the API-only plan, except where a guide says otherwise.
| Block | What it is for | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Customer profiles | Say who you sell to. Scoring and scouts both read it. | Customer profiles |
| Scoring | Check how well one person, or a whole list, fits a customer profile. | Scoring |
| People and lists | Keep the people you know, group them in lists, look them up, find a work email, and say who done. must never contact. | People and lists |
| Writing | Teach done. how you write with voices and styles, then write one message for one person. | Writing |
How they fit together
- A customer profile says who you sell to.
- Scoring checks people against it and gives each a fit from 0 to 100.
- People and lists hold the people, and the do-not-contact list keeps the wrong ones out.
- Writing turns a good fit into a message in your voice.
When you want these steps to run on a schedule, or to reach people on LinkedIn, move up to scouts and campaigns. They use the same customer profiles, lists, voices and styles.
Rules that apply to every block
- Paid calls need an
Idempotency-Key. See Safe retries. - Each call states what it costs. See Credits and costs.
- How a score is worked out is never shown. A score comes with its fit, its label and one sentence of reason.
